One of Ireland’s most important nature reserves

To the north of Ardara lies one of Ireland’s most important nature reserves. Spanning over 1000 acres of marsh and sand dunes, Sheskinmore Nature Reserve is home to many species of Irish wildlife, including badgers, butterflies, foxes, and peregrine falcons.

Continue on for a few kilometres to explore the beautiful white sands of Ballinareavy Strand, Tramore Strand and Rosbeg. Here you’ll find public toilets, a car park, and a caravan park — the perfect base for watersports and nature enthusiasts alike!
